Description

High relief in sandstone and Istrian stone, dimensions 210×157 cm.

Madonna and Child enthroned giving the keys to a kneeling Saint Peter dressed as a pontiff, while a dove of the Holy Spirit flies above.

The refined relief, cuspidate rectangle, is compressed in an Istrian stone frame, probably contemporary, but perhaps not by the same hand, decorated with curled foliage and surmounted by a bust of the Eternal Father in blessing.

Il raffinato rilievo, a rettangolo cuspidato, u00e8 compresso in cornice in pietra d'Istria, probabilmente coeva, ma forse non della stessa mano, ornata di fogliame arricciato e sovrastat da busto del Padre Eterno benedicente.
